Spencer at 14 months

Right now Spencer is teething. I feel like it has been a long time. Spencer's gums are swollen and purple. He eats probably one good meal a day, by good meal I mean a good amount of food. Some nights he sleeps well and others not so much. Spencer is hard to keep happy during the day, making the days long and his nap times not long enough. He has been extra clumsy lately, probably due to tiredness or growth. He fell into table and has a swollen lump by his eye that has turned purple to match his gums, he has hit head on a chair leg giving him a lump on his forehead. He has a scratch on the back of his neck, we have no idea what caused it and bruises on his legs. I guess this is what it is like to have an active, fearless and mischievous little boy.

On the upside he has added a few more words to his vocabulary. My favorites are "uh oh" and ouch. He is sneaky and loves to hide behind furniture to eat snacks and play. Today we played outside and he ate dirt and jumped in the leaves. He still flirts shamelessly with all the girls at church and the stores. His little hair is curling in back, if I have not mentioned that before. Spencer is a love, he gives kisses to me with his little arms wrapped around my neck. This ,of course, leaves me in a pile goo. Some part of that is because I've melted and the other is that he kissed me with his mouth opened, but I love it. He is obedient but likes to test me. An example of this is when he kept putting his foot in the trash can. I asked him not to and removed him from the area. He ran right back and lifted his leg while looking over his shoulder at me. All I had to do was give him 'the look' and he stopped for a minute and then made his next attempt but never actually put his leg back in.
