Belts are fun…for this one
I am trying to figure out the inner workings of my one year old’s mind, so here goes. First, Spencer has always enjoyed playing with strings, any kind really, drawstrings that hang from clothes to thin pieces of thread. Secondly, he has recently started to pull and push things around the house, basically if it is not nailed down and he can move it, he will. Thirdly, when Chad gets dressed in the morning, Spencer hears the belt buckle clink together and has been intrigued. Therefore, Spencer loves dragging belts around?! He carries them around, puts them in his mouth and even sits to study how they work. Spencer has been dragging Chad’s nice Sunday belt around but we are worried that Spencer will might break the buckle off somehow, so I found some old belts of mine for him. He looks like a snake tamer as he carries the belts around by their heads. So proud with them, he walks around with his chest pushed out. He literally plays with them for a full 15 minutes or more at a time, more than once a day. This has been going on for about a week. I don’t know what the fascination is.
