The first time your baby smiles it is exciting, the first little coos too. All the milestones leading up to and including saying 'mama' have been exciting and heart warming. However, nothing has prepared me for the excitement I felt watching my 10 month old strut around the room. His chunky little legs staggering around melts my heart. Seeing the excitement that my son was experiencing was so joyful and has thrilled me completely. He claps for himself and even banged on his chest as King Kong, he is proud to say the least. As for me, I really don't have words for the feelings that flooded over me. I am embarrassed of our home video footage (which I am trying to get uploaded!) because I am screaming more than Spencer.
Spencer is walking everywhere now. All he wants to do is walk. Spencer will walk until he falls and then cry until he is up walking again. Yesterday the Church building provided Spencer with a much grander place to roam without obstacles of furniture and little area rugs. He has become quite unstoppable.
Wow, your son is walking. That's wonderful. My wife and I are going to have a daughter in about two months, isn't that crazy? Your blog post got me excited for becoming a father.
ReplyDeleteAnd your blog is cool. I'm glad found it.
