Trip to Butterfly Conservatory & Gardens

While back home we took and day trip to Magic Wings, a butterfly conservatory and garden. Also known as the "Butterfly Museum," this place has nearly 4,000 butterflies living in a large green house that you walk through. Visitors are not allowed to touch the butterflies, but if a butterfly lands on you that is ok. Before going we googled what colors butterflies are attracted to and found out that pink and purple were the most popular. My parents had heard that they also were attracted to blue and we remembered that last time we were there that orange was also popular. Hence, we are all in different colors.

I think one landed on Dad's shoulder towards the beginning of our walk. Then, Mom was the first to have one land on her watch and stay a while. Malia really wanted one to land on her.

Her patience paid off. Also, this blue butterfly was just flying by when I snapped the shot. They just flutter around all over.

Beautiful sister, beautiful flowers & gardens, and beautiful butterflies!

Spencer just ran around like a crazy active toddler and stopped every now and then to flirt with some cute girls or an older couple. We were nervous that he would touch or hurt a butterfly but all was well! What a fun trip!
