Saturday we had a fun time taking pictures at the park, but got Spencer home for a late lunch and nap. We have lost all the binkies, except for one and I refuse to buy more since we are supposed to be weaning him from it. The sol binkie was upstairs while Chad was putting Spencer down for a nap downstairs. He put Spencer in his crib with a book and we listened to the monitor to determine if a binkie was needed. A half an hour later there were still noises coming from the monitor so Chad checked on Spencer. Spencer greeted him at the door and held his hand to his head like he often does after he hits it. Chad and I were stunned...how the heck did my 14 month old get out of his crib?
Later that night we asked Spencer how he got out and he showed us how he put his leg over the rail and then got stuck until he took a head dive! Of course we caught him but how come we didn't hear anyting during his nap time escape? We put all the pillows we could find around the floor by the crib for the night.
We thought the crib was on the lowest level but with a look at the instruction book it had one more to go. It has been lowered and we will sleep better knowing that he can't get out now....for a few months anyway. Then I guess he moves into a toddler bed. Babyhood has gone too fast.
That is so crazy! Lily never tried to climb out of hers, but Isabel is alot more adventureous...so we'll see. I am glad that I found your blog and now I can keep up with you guys!
