The Latest on Spencer

He is trying so hard to walk. Well let me correct that, he is trying to run. He holds my hand and runs along side of me. Sometimes his head is leading him as he walks too fast. He is still trying to get his balance and isn’t slowing down to get it. He pulls up on everything from furniture to the bare wall and runs around it.

He loves crawling up the stairs. When we are down stairs, he quickly crawls to the bottom step and looks back for me. If I am not right there he does not go up. Then once he can see I am right behind him, he starts up the steps looking back every few moments to check if I am there. I say some encouraging words so that he will keep going.

He says “mama” and “dada”, especially in the morning when he wants to get out of the crib. He says “eeee” when he is hungry and wants to eat. He also says something that sounds like he is trying to say clock or truck. Here at Grandma and Grandpa Fortie’s home they have a clock that chimes every 15 minutes and Spencer stops whatever he is doing to say his little “clock” word. Also as we watch cars out the window he says his little “truck” word.

He does this cute thing when his heart gets broken…when you say no to something he wants. He makes a sad face and put his head on the floor and pouts. Spencer now shakes his head ‘no’ when you try to feed him something in the highchair that he doesn’t want.

He makes us laugh constantly and makes us worried for the toddler stage as he is starting to throw little tantrums and screams when he is displeased or is not given what he wants.
